MINI FOOT OVERVIEW

The Solar Stik™ Transom Mount is designed for high adaptability, but some vessels may have a stern configuration that requires a special lower  arm support. 

A standard Transom Mount Lower Support Arm uses a 4-inch diameter footpad, and the minimum “installed” lower support arm length is 8 inches.  A Mini Foot reduces the minimum lower arm length to 2 inches and the foot pad diameter to just 3 inches.

The Transom Mount Mini Foot provides a versatile solution in three situations:

1.  The desired mounting location for the lower support arm is smaller than the standard 4” foot pad (such as installing the Transom Mount to a transom gunnel or support)

2.  The Solar Stik™ system operating height may be a concern and the Transom Mount needs to be installed close to a surface

3.  The closer the Transom Mount is installed to a surface, then the stronger the over-all installation becomes.  This is a key factor when using the Solar Stik™ to support additional equipment (such as a lifting davit) that may add additional stress to the overall mount installation.
