“The energy and enthusiasm George brings to Solar Stik has already opened new doors for our products,” said Ronaldo Lachica, CW4 USA Retired and Solar Stik’s Director of Program Management. “He is motivated to find new applications and markets for our company.”
Winsten will be working on developing new business for Solar Stik in the military and commercial sectors. He also will be tasked with writing several case studies and white papers to showcase the usability and return on investment (ROI) of Solar Stik products currently fielded in a variety of military applications.
“I was immediately drawn to Solar Stik because of its work using alternative energy and introducing hybrid power to military applications that historically used conventional, fuel-driven generators,” explained Winsten. “The culture here is like nothing I’ve experienced. I spent my first two weeks working hands-on with our Production Team and learned so much. Solar Stik is like a family and everyone helps to get the job done.”
Winsten joins Solar Stik’s 35-member Team with prior sales experience, previously working for Solar-Fit in Holly Hill in a marketing role and as a sales representative for Cutco. He also spent time as an executive assistant and intern for the Alliance for International Reforestation Guatemala.
Solar Stik is the premier manufacturer of portable hybrid power systems for military applications in the 1 to 15 kW power spectrum. It pioneered the design and manufacturing of scalable, modular system architectures used to alleviate the logistical burdens of providing power in remote, off-grid locations.
